19 Awards Across Diverse Fields: Ministry of Culture Launches the Sixth Edition of the National Cultural Awards

The Ministry of Culture has announced the launch of the sixth edition of the National Cultural Awards, continuing its celebration of creators across various areas of cultural production. The National Cultural Awards are divided into two categories. The first is dedicated to the seven main awards, which are: the Cultural Personality of the Year Award, the Culture for Youth Award, the Businesswomen and Businessmen Award, the Award for For-Profit Cultural Institutions, the Award for Non-Profit Cultural Institutions, the Cultural Media Award, and the International Cultural Excellence Award.

The second category consists of 12 sector-specific awards: the Literature Award, Publishing Award, Theater and Performing Arts Award, Culinary Arts Award, Architecture and Design Arts Award, Translation Award, Fashion Award, Film Award, National Heritage Award, Music Award, Visual Arts Award, and Handicrafts Award.

The National Cultural Awards are part of the Ministry of Culture’s efforts to celebrate leaders in the cultural sector each year and honor outstanding individuals and institutions across various cultural fields. The awards recognize their contributions to the development of the sector, encourage national cultural talent, and promote Saudi cultural production both locally and internationally.

In its fifth edition, held on September 15, 2025, the Ministry of Culture honored 19 winners, including Princess Noura bint Mohammed Al Faisal in the field of fashion and artist Mohammed Abdu, who received the Cultural Personality of the Year Award. Other honorees included Yahya Riani, Al-Midad Foundation for Heritage and Culture, Ahmed Kamel, artist Maha Al-Maluh, Dr. Fahad Al-Hussein, and poet Saad Al-Humaidain.

It is worth noting that the first edition of the National Cultural Awards was launched in 2020 as part of the Quality of Life Program, one of the programs under Saudi Vision 2030, with the awards for that edition being presented in 2021
