The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission is preparing to organize the closing ceremony of the fifth edition of the “Literary Partner” initiative (2025–2026), on the evening of Friday, July 24, at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh. The ceremony will be attended by a distinguished group of writers and intellectuals, initiative partners, and representatives of cultural and media organizations. The evening will celebrate cultural achievements and highlight the initiative’s impact in strengthening the presence of literature within society.

The ceremony will mark the culmination of a year filled with cultural and literary contributions, which witnessed a significant qualitative leap and substantial expansion in the initiative’s tracks. Alongside the “Cafés” track, the initiative introduced four new tracks in this edition: cultural amateur clubs, associations, publishing houses, and coworking spaces.

The CEO of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Wasil, affirmed that the “Literary Partner” initiative has become a national model demonstrating the success of partnership between the Commission and the private and nonprofit sectors in supporting literary activity. He noted that the fifth edition achieved a significant impact in strengthening the presence of literature in public spaces, expanding community participation, and establishing culture as an integral part of everyday life.

The ceremony will include a visual presentation documenting the initiative’s journey, its most prominent milestones and achievements, in addition to honoring partners and crowning the winners with financial awards whose total value exceeds one million Saudi riyals. The initiative aims to enhance the value of literature in individuals’ lives and make culture a way of life, strengthen the role of private and nonprofit institutions in advancing the cultural sector, inspire individuals to engage in literary and cultural production, and support the dissemination of Saudi books both locally and internationally. These objectives are aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing the cultural sector and strengthening its presence within society.

The closing ceremony is expected to serve as a platform for celebrating achievements, highlighting success stories, and strengthening communication among partners and those interested in cultural affairs. This will reaffirm the continued role of the “Literary Partner” initiative as one of the leading national initiatives for building sustainable cultural partnerships and strengthening the presence of literature across various regions of the Kingdom.
