The King Abdulaziz Public Library is participating in the 2026 Beijing International Book Fair, in its 32nd edition, as part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Pavilion overseen by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission at the Ministry of Culture. The fair is being held from June 17 to 21, 2026.

The Library’s participation comes as part of national efforts to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s cultural presence on the international stage and highlight the Kingdom’s intellectual and knowledge-based achievements to the fair’s audience of specialists and those interested in the book and cultural industries. It also seeks to disseminate knowledge and build international cultural partnerships in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in establishing the Kingdom as an influential cultural and knowledge center.

The Library’s pavilion is attracting visitors interested in exploring a diverse collection of its Arabic and translated scientific, cultural, and knowledge-based publications, including works translated from and into international languages. These publications highlight the Library’s leading role in serving Arab and Islamic culture and enriching knowledge content through its publishing, documentation, and translation programs. The pavilion also introduces visitors to the Library’s cultural projects, programs, and initiatives implemented both inside and outside the Kingdom.

Through its pavilion, the Library is showcasing its more than three decades of experience in disseminating knowledge, supporting scientific research, and preserving and serving cultural heritage. It is also introducing its digital services and specialized projects in the fields of manuscripts, documents, and specialized libraries.

The Library’s participation also includes introducing its Beijing University Branch in the People’s Republic of China. The branch strengthens its role in cooperation with Chinese institutions and provides access to 31 database resources and 54 specialized databases. It has witnessed significant growth in the scale of its cultural programs and initiatives, making use of modern technologies and digital solutions to provide knowledge services and facilitate access to information resources. This enhances the experience of researchers, students, and visitors while improving the efficiency of cultural and knowledge-based work within the university environment.

The branch’s collection has exceeded 43,000 books, of which approximately 34,000 are Arabic books, representing 79% of the total collection. It also provides 38,787 electronic books and more than 4,814 electronic journals covering a wide range of fields, including language, literature, history, geography, politics, economics, society, education, and other disciplines.

The branch is considered one of the most prominent bridges of cultural and knowledge exchange between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People’s Republic of China. It provides services to researchers, scholars, and those interested in the Arabic language and Saudi culture. It houses a distinguished collection of Arabic and Islamic resources and organizes numerous cultural and academic programs and joint seminars that contribute to strengthening civilizational exchange and cultural understanding between the two friendly peoples
