The King Abdulaziz Public Library launches the second Reading Clubs Forum, attended by more than 50 reading clubs from across the Kingdom.

His Excellency the General Supervisor of the King Abdulaziz Public Library, Mr. Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar, inaugurated today the Second Reading Clubs Forum, organized by the Library at its Services and Reading Halls Branch on Khurais Road in Riyadh, in the presence of a number of library specialists, researchers, and intellectuals.

The forum is part of the programs of the National Cultural Project for Renewing the Connection with Books, with the aim of bringing together representatives of reading clubs from various regions of the Kingdom, exchanging expertise and experiences, and building relationships that contribute to strengthening community culture.

The forum featured a number of activities, including a panel discussion titled “Innovating Reading Activities,” an opening address by the General Supervisor of the Library titled “Reading First,” and a presentation on the experience of the National Cultural Project for Renewing the Connection with Books.

The forum’s program also included the Reading Clubs Forum, which featured two workshops titled “Experiences and Challenges of Reading Clubs in the Kingdom” and “Building Cultural Partnerships.”

The forum concluded with a speech by Dr. Fahad Al-Olayan, Director of the National Cultural Project for Renewing the Connection with Books at the King Abdulaziz Public Library.

The forum is held as part of the King Abdulaziz Public Library’s efforts to strengthen its leading role in promoting reading through the National Cultural Project for Renewing the Connection with Books. The project aims to raise awareness of the importance of reading and its role in building knowledge among various segments of society, contribute to sustainable cultural development, particularly among male and female students at different educational levels, and introduce modern and diverse fields of reading in support of a knowledge-based, cultural, and social future.
