King Abdulaziz Public Library showcases its projects and latest publications in Beijing.

The King Abdulaziz Public Library is participating in the 2026 Beijing International Book Fair, in its 32nd edition, as part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Pavilion supervised by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission under the Ministry of Culture. The fair is being held from June 17 to 21. The library’s participation forms part of national efforts to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s cultural presence on the international stage and highlight the Kingdom’s intellectual and knowledge-based achievements to an audience of specialists and those interested in the book and cultural industries. It also aims to disseminate knowledge and build international cultural partnerships in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to establish the Kingdom as an influential cultural and knowledge center.

The library’s pavilion is attracting visitors interested in exploring a diverse selection of its publications and scholarly, cultural, and knowledge-based works, including Arabic publications and works translated from and into international languages. These publications highlight the library’s leading role in serving Arab and Islamic culture and enriching knowledge content through its publishing, documentation, and translation programs, while also introducing visitors to its cultural projects, programs, and initiatives implemented both within the Kingdom and abroad.

The library is showcasing its more than three decades of experience in disseminating knowledge, supporting academic research, and preserving cultural heritage, as well as presenting its digital services and specialized projects in the fields of manuscripts, documents, and specialized libraries.

The participation also highlights the library’s branch at Peking University, which strengthens its engagement with Chinese institutions and provides access to 31 database resources and 54 specialized databases. The branch has witnessed significant growth in the scale of its cultural programs and initiatives, benefiting from modern technologies and digital solutions to deliver knowledge services and facilitate access to information resources. These efforts enhance the experience of researchers, students, and visitors while improving the efficiency of cultural and knowledge-based activities within the university environment. The branch’s holdings exceed 43,000 books, including approximately 34,000 Arabic books, representing 79% of its total collection, in addition to 38,787 e-books and more than 4,814 electronic journals covering a wide range of fields, including language, literature, history, geography, politics, economics, society, education, and other disciplines.

The branch is considered one of the most prominent bridges of cultural and intellectual communication between Saudi Arabia and China. It provides services to researchers, scholars, and those interested in the Arabic language and Saudi culture, and houses a distinguished collection of Arabic and Islamic resources. It also organizes numerous cultural and academic programs and joint seminars that contribute to strengthening civilizational exchange and cultural understanding between the two friendly peoples.
