The Governor of Al-Kharj views the mobile library as part of the Professional Literature Association’s "Ambassadors" program in the governorate.
The Governor of Al-Kharj, His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Mohammed bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, received today at his office in the governorate Mutab bin Dhaidan Al-Mutairi, Director of the National Cultural Project for Renewing the Connection with Books at the King Abdulaziz Public Library, Ali bin Sulaiman Al-Duraihem, Head of the Ambassadors of the Professional Literature Association in Al-Kharj, and several members of the association’s ambassadors in the governorate.
His Highness reviewed the mobile library’s collection of knowledge-based publications and cultural and educational programs, through a presentation by the project director, who highlighted the most prominent reading initiatives and activities, as well as efforts to promote a culture of reading and enhance knowledge awareness among various segments of society.
The Governor of Al-Kharj emphasized the importance of these cultural initiatives and their effective role in fostering a culture of reading, strengthening the position of books in shaping human thought, and developing awareness among children and young people.
His Highness praised the efforts of the King Abdulaziz Public Library and its range of distinctive programs and initiatives that contribute to spreading knowledge and broadening interest in books, stressing the importance of concerted cultural and community efforts to support the advancement of awareness and knowledge.
